Blankets - Leading Retailers Unite with Blanket America to Help the Poor, but More Support is Needed.
Beginning in mid-January, the much anticipated Blanket America Patchwork Heritage Collection will become available to the public. The project is the brainchild of a Manhattan bed, bath and window covering design business owner named Mesh Gelman. During President Obama's inaugural address on the night of Januaury 20, 2009, Gelman was struck with inspiration. With the words, "our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness" Gelman latched on to an idea and the Patchwork Heritage Quilt was born.
